Program Description

Computer Science is an exciting, challenging and dynamic discipline. Computers form an integral part of every aspect of society and modern life. New computing technologies are introduced at an enormous rate and the Computer Science field develops and changes continually and rapidly. Consequently, Computer Science has evolved into a dynamic and challenging field of study. Students in the course of their degree are exposed to the theoretical foundations in all areas of the field, gain an understanding of the principles that underlie development of systems, apply their knowledge on real life projects and acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to cope with the astonishing rate of change of the specific discipline. Institutions, enterprises, organizations and companies in all sectors, public and private, are directly or indirectly being affected by the overwhelming information flow around the world. The effect goes down to small businesses and even to individuals. Every such unit should be equipped with tools that enable it to survive in such a dynamic world.

Admission Requirements

Applicants for admission to the Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science program must satisfy any of the following criteria:
 A successful completion of grade 12 with minimum University Entrance Examinations result set for admission, by the Ministry of Education, for the entry year.
 Completion of Diploma program (12+2 and 10+3), Level 4 TVET Program with Occupational Competency Assessment (COC) Certification, and pass the College’s entrance examination.
 A degree program student from other accredited Higher Education Institutions with legal withdrawal beyond disciplinary breach, and/or transferred increase of institutional preference or field choice.
 A first-degree graduate in any field of study from accredited Higher Education Institutions.
 For international students anyone who wishes to join the BA program in Accounting and Finance is required to meet the entry requirements of higher institutions stated by Ministry of Education and Education and Training Authority.
 In case of high competition for admission, grade point average at graduation, additional training taken after graduation, service year, gender and supporting letter from respective employers, and result from entrance examination of the college will be considered as separation criteria.
