Program Description

Marketing Management program provides the ideal preparation for a career in marketing management. The department of marketing management prepares students to qualify for and excel in careers in marketing management as well as in other professions where the theory and practices of these disciplines can be applied. Careers in marketing are expected to remain plentiful in the future, and qualified job seekers will need to have an up-to-date education that addresses current marketing trends and the factors caused by an ever-changing economy. The program combines a core education in business and focuses on specific aspects related to various careers in the field of marketing. Marketing Management is a crucial element in economic growth of a country. It brings together the four pieces (product, price, promotion and place) together to achieve a given company its objective. Activities related with sales, promotion as well as information technology tools for solving various Marketing Management problems require enormous number of professionals in the field of Marketing Management.

Admission Requirements

Applicants for admission to the Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Management program must satisfy any of the following criteria:
 A successful completion of grade 12 with minimum University Entrance Examinations result set for admission, by the Ministry of Education, for the entry year.
 Completion of Diploma program (12+2 and 10+3), Level 4 TVET Program with Occupational Competency Assessment (COC) Certification, and pass the College’s entrance examination.
 A degree program student from other accredited Higher Education Institutions with legal withdrawal beyond disciplinary breach, and/or transferred increase of institutional preference or field choice.
 A first-degree graduate in any field of study from accredited Higher Education Institutions.
 For international students anyone who wishes to join the BA program in Accounting and Finance is required to meet the entry requirements of higher institutions stated by Ministry of Education and Education and Training Authority.
 In case of high competition for admission, grade point average at graduation, additional training taken after graduation, service year, gender and supporting letter from respective employers, and result from entrance examination of the college will be considered as separation criteria.

M.A College has been given the license and renewal of license to provide higher education in Marketing Management program at undergraduate level in both Regular and Distance modes of delivery at Assosa campus.
