EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
M.A. obtained accreditation from FDRE Education Authority in Degree program of Marketing Management through Regular, Extension and Distance modalities for students that fulfill the entry requirement of Ministry of Education.
The degree to be issued to the students upon completion of the graduation requirements set by the college is a bachelor’s degree in marketing management with the following nomenclature: In English – “Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing Management.” In Amharic – “የአርት ባችለር ዲግሪ በገበያ ስራ አመራር”
The standard study period to complete the program is eight semesters (four years) at Regular program, twelve terms (four years for distance learners) and nine to ten semesters ( for extension students) and a student should successfully complete a total of 141 credit hours.
GRADATE PROFILE
The program is aimed at producing graduates that can have adequate knowledge, skill and attitude towards application of marketing concepts and principles. Specifically, upon successful completion of the program the graduates will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of essential facts, concepts, principles, and theories relating to Marketing management
- Apply the acquired knowledge and skills to enhance their capabilities for optimizing personal potential within his/her career paths.
- Identify and analyze marketing environment
- Differentiate an approach and framework for identifying and analyzing the important cultural and environmental factors on marketing
- Know the nature of the global environment and its influences on marketing activity
- Conduct research and consultancy service in marketing and offer training for those who are in need of it
- Integrate information communication technology in utilizing and enhancing sales and marketing intelligence systems;
- Be able to work effectively as a member of a development team
- Recognize and be guided by the social, professional, and ethical issues involved in marketing management.
- Think logically, reason critically, and make professional judgments in Marketing Management
- Carryout assigned activities with integrity and professional ethics.
- Develop time management and work planning skills.
- Formulate and implement effective marketing programs and strategies
- Design appropriate channels for the distribution of products.
- Prepare and apply different types of promotional methods
- Use quantitative tools to logically analyze and integrate knowledge to solve marketing problems
ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Generally admission to the Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing management will be guided by the regulation of the ministry of education. Specifically for admission to the Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Management program must satisfy any of the following criteria which are duly presented in the college’s legislation:
- A successful completion of two year preparatory program with minimum college Entrance Examinations Result set for admission by Ministry of Education, for the entry year.
- Completion of Diploma program (12+2 and 10+3), Level 4 TVET program with one year relevant work experience after graduation, and Occupational Competency Assessment (COC) Certification and ability to pass the College’s entrance examination.
- A degree program student from other accredited Higher Education Institution with legal withdrawal beyond disciplinary breach, and/or transferred in case of institutional preference or field choice.
- A first degree graduate in related field of study from accredited Higher Education Institution.
DURATION OF THE PROGRAM
The normal duration of the BA degree will be 8 semesters (4years). A total of 146 credit hours of courses work and graduate project over the period mentioned above are normally regarded as a full load.

The degree offered after successful completion of its program will be:: In English – “Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing Management.” And In Amharic – “የአርት ባችለር ዲግሪ በገበያ ስራ አመራር”
GRADUATION REQUIREMENT
Graduate candidates will be awarded the “Bachelor of Art Degree in Marketing Management” if they fulfill the following requirements:
- Successful completion of a total of 141 credit hours
- A minimum Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) of 2.00
- A minimum Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) of 2.00 in core courses
- No ‘F’ grade, No Grade (NG), and Incomplete (I) cases in any of the courses
- Must be in compliance with the regulation of the college.
