Assosa Campuses

Assossa Campus is the pioneer of all campuses of M.A College. Envisioning  to be a leading higher Institution in  Beneshangul Gumuz through quality education, research and community intervention, M.A. College began its first operation back in 1997 E.C (2005 G.C) at Assossa City with TVET programs in which it obtained accreditation from Regional Government. It has been training qualified professionals in various TVET (Accounting, Information System, Secretarial Management and Human Resource Management) fields at a separate own premises.

Using ample experience it accumulated and excellence in TVET fields, it achieved as a spring board, it stepped up to the provision of Degree Programs after undertaking massive expansion projects and constructing separate premises for degree programs. It launched Degree Programs in various fields in which it obtained the Accreditation from the then FDRE’s Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency (HERQA), now FDRE Education and Training Authority (ETA) in 2010 E.C. It began the degree with Management and Accounting and Finance Degree Programs at a separately expanded compound from TVET in a self-owned premises in that year which then was followed by opening of other Degree programs in the next year (2011 E.C) in regular, distance and extension modalities.

Currently the campuses (at two separate sub campuses under it)  runs the following programs degree and TVET Programs in various modalities (Regular, Distance, Evening):

  3. Marketing Management- Regular, Distance and Evening modalities

  4. Computer Science – Regular and Evening modalities

  5. Agricultural Economics-Distance modality

  6. Rural Development – Distance modality

  7. Educational Planning and Management – Distance modality

  1. Accounting – Regular and Evening

  2. Information Technology –Regular and Evening

  3. Secretarial Management –Regular and Evening

  4. Human Resource Management- Regular and Evening

  5. Marketing Management- Regular and Evening

  6. Agriculture and Natural Resource Management- Regular and Evening

3. Graduate programs

  • Though not started yet, the college has completed all the preconditions and preparation to launch Masters programs in Business Administration (MBA) and other fields in near future
